Boston

bostonBoston is a place where ATD Fourth World builds dialogues and partnerships with academics, people experiencing poverty and practitioners around the knowledge needed to fight persistent poverty. Moving forward from a recently concluded project with the Center for Social Policy at UMass-Boston, we are able to apply learning to help frame and nourish current national and international research and evaluation work such as: an appreciative inquiry evaluation of ATD Fourth World’s action in New Mexico, the design and implementation of an action-based research on the dimensions of poverty that are not monetary (this work will bring a new perspective to the UN Sustainable Development Goal of eradicating poverty in all its forms), the preparation of an international colloquium entitled “Rethinking the world through the lens of poverty—an historical, anthropological and epistemological approach with Joseph Wresinski.”
